Coco & Milla to me, seem very different. & yet, so close. I’m sure their Mum would say something different, but at my studio & farm, they seemed like the best of friends! I don’t have a sister, & this is how I always imagined it would be! Coco guiding Milla in her portraits and giving her the confidence to smile and pose for me. It was beautiful, & fun, to watch. Of course they had their teasing moments, but it always ended in a giggle. 🙂
Coco is 13, absolutely lovely & super cool! She was a natural in front of my camera. So much so I had to ask if she had modelling experience.

Milla is 10 and between acting & hockey, seems to have a very busy life! And just like her sister, is so friendly and super cool! She was amazing in front of the camera & took my direction like a pro. Although she didn’t really need much prompting. I especially love her look away portraits like the one above!

It was a fun experience stepping out of my comfort zone to do something a bit different. Kate was really nice and made me feel comfortable the entire time – Coco, 13 years old
It was a really good experience to get outside and do something different, and was great bonding moment for Coco and I. It was so funny too when the march flies started chasing us and Kate was really nice with good ideas for lots of different photos – Milla, 10 years old
In this day and age, where kids are on social media and everyone on TV & online is perfection, it’s easy to see how children can feel self-conscious in their own bodies. This is why I created this Campaign for kids aged 10-16, which I call: You Are Perfect.
I want to instil a sense of self-worth, confidence & beauty during a time when children can dislike their appearance & feel very self-conscious. I want them to feel empowered in knowing that they are beautiful inside & out, and I want them to have portraits to remind them of this.
